About Me
I am married to Robert and we have two grown up children, Becky and Andrew. Becky is married to an adorable man called James and they have a lovely son, Thomas who brings us a lot of happiness and joy. Andy's partner, Christine is totally fab and is an IT expert BIG time - there's nothing she can't do!! She has two adorable little girls who we love.
I work as a legal secretary for a top 50 law firm, Charles Russell in Cheltenham. I enjoy cooking, especially cake baking, reading, travelling the world. Rob used to work in travel so we have travelled all over the world in the last 30 years (usually by first class or business class!). Alas, those days are gone, but I can't complain, we have been from Australia to Yugoslavia and everywhere in between (haven't been anywhere beginning with Z... :o)
People who inspire me are Jesus Christ, Oprah Winfrey, Princess Diana, Aung San Su Kyi. Each one has made an enormous impact during their lifetimes in one sphere or another... But no-one can match the Light of the World who laid down his life to redeem the human race.
I love all kinds of music. My favourite artists are Stevie Wonder, The Who, The Beatles (from my childhood!), Cat Stevens, Michael Jackson (much missed and the greatest entertainer that ever lived in my view), Josh Groban, Michael Buble.
I love the redemptive Christian music of Graham Kendrick and Stuart Townend - available on iTunes and totally relevant for today's culture.
I enjoy reading, especially books about redemption such as the Bible, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Desire of Ages.
My favourite movie is The Shawshank Redemption with the amazing Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. I love Wayne's World - those cool dudes Wayne and Garth really rock my boat :o) I also really enjoyed Avatar which also has a message of redemption and about how we should respect the earth and minority races.
Things I hate is racism (overt or covert), jealousy which is so destructive and lies. I always try my best to be a totally honest up-front kind of person - if people don't like that, then tough!
